Hurry #FiveSentenceFiction 10

“Imagine that you have only six months to live; what do you do?”

“Then I will live my life to the fullest, checking off things from my bucket list, without thinking what others might say,” Mia replied as blindly as she was posed with the question.

“Let’s do that then!” exclaimed Sherry.

“Why such a hurry?” Mia questioned without lifting her eyes off from the phone.

“Because today my doctor told that in less than six months the tumor in my brain is going to win my life completely.”

  1. Oh dear. That is sad. Sometimes I don’t know what is better – to leave this world without any kind of warning or to live in the knowledge that your time is limited. Well, everyone’s time is limited, but I meant a smaller time frame like you mentioned.

    1. So sorry to hear about your lose, Corinne. I always think that the only promise I can make to my kids with cent percent certainty is that one day we all will die including them. Sounds morbid but it is the truth, right. That’s why I like to believe that there is something beautiful out there once this life ends. Hugs to you. ❤

  2. Sad. How illnesses such as these make us realize life’s worth. We only learn the value of something when either we’re about to lose it, or have lost it already.

  3. Beautifully written! It’s when you read stuff like this that you’re reminded of this precious gift we have, and that we need to make the most if it.

    1. Life sure is harsh. We should live everyday as if it is the last day without waiting for an ultimatum from a doctor, right? Thanks for visiting, Ramya. 😀
