The wisdom a tree imparts is more than us, humans, can comprehend.
Branching out in different directions with a root so strong and deep they continue to serve their purpose, providing shade and breeze whenever possible.
It’s that simple. We don’t have to hold the same beliefs to stay united, do we?

Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don’t see what goes on underground – as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don’t see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. It is not easy to locate names unless you have a field guide to identify a tree by leaves, trunk and flowers.

In the United States, we are being torn apart with our differing beliefs. Our election day is Tuesday. Who knows if the trees will be able to hold us together – yet today, I walked, enjoying their changing colors.
