Drifted from its path
Heralding a change in season
Graceful and unique
Writing a Haiku after a long time. Though I cheated with an extra syllable, I couldn’t perfect it the way I would have liked. This stray battered-looking leaf landed upon the window of my car one afternoon and I clicked immediately. It looked so perfect perched on the glass window. It was my little one’s birthday yesterday. Sharing some pictures of him and a few lines to mark the day. 🙂
Looking through the photos of yesterdays’,
I’m reminded of the time that’s disappearing fast
Your naughtiness troubling me every moment,
Yet, that’s something I would cherish for years to come
The anger I shower,
As you try to climb a wall or get inside a cupboard
Only because I love you so much more,
Your senseless adventures knock the sense out of me, dear
But, never let go of your curiosity,
No matter how scared it makes me
That’s a wish I have for you,
My crazy adventurer, who melts my heart!
Into the wilderness
Wanders my mind
A world of chaos
A web of what-ifs
Making a criss-cross.
Glimpses of tranquil
I see, deep within the soul
Serene and beautiful
A place to get lost
Away from this clutter.
Chaos and tranquil,
All a part of me.
Never too late,
To accept the mess and peace
That resides side by side
Within this heart,
And the self is whole again
As it was, always.
This poem is inspired by this beauty who we met at a wildlife sanctuary in Arizona.
Joining Esha for #WordlessWednesday this week.
Often I stroll,
With roots deep below, and
Calm and composed above,
Battling battles of my own,
Where no eyes reach,
To spy or judge,
A summer shade,
A winter wonder,
Questioning my purpose,
Perhaps, this many appearances I keep,
Is, in fact, my purpose in this life, I wonder.
