Hello writers! Welcome to the forty-second edition of Fiction Monday.
“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”
~ Maya Angelou
Wherever you are – physically, emotionally, spiritually – believe that it’s going to get better. It always do.
Stories From The Forty-first Edition
A Realization by Sunita
Just A Thought by Suzana
Abandoned by Vinitha
Wandering Mind by Vinitha
Thank you, Sunita and Suzana for sharing your stories with us! I wrote a fiction and a poem in medium account. Although my plan was to share one post each day, I could only write two last week. This is my attempt to revive my neglected medium account.
Fiction Monday
The idea is simple – to write fiction. On Mondays, I will post the prompt here. There will be a word prompt and a picture prompt. You have one week to respond with a story. You can choose to include both the prompts in your story or just one prompt – the choice is yours.
The expected word count is between 50 and 500. From the nineteenth edition onwards I am offering something different for fiction Monday. You are also welcome to write your poetry and non-fiction reflections along with fictional pieces if it is your preferred area. The whole idea is to write. But we will continue to call this #FictionMonday because why not!
You have time till April 24th Saturday, 2021.
Don’t forget to add the link to your story in the comments below. I will share your creations here along with the prompts for the forty-third edition on Monday the 26th of April.

The butterfly’ s lesson is amazing. We have to understand it and try it! 🙂
