There were many things that made me smile last week. I might not remember all of those moments, but here I am sharing a few that made me smile.
- taking a morning walk around our neighborhood
- practicing yoga
- my little one surprising me by waking up at 6 in the morning on Sunday
- his eagerness to be the first one to wake up in the house
- talking to a friend
- savoring banana fritters — a homemade sweet dish in Kerala, India— brought over by our thoughtful neighbors
- chatting with our neighbors
- appreciating the refreshing windy weather
- indulging in a cup of coffee in the afternoon
- playing board games with my kids
- reading Harry Potter to my son, creating magical moments together
- learning Spanish in the Duolingo app with my seven-year-old, and seeing his excitement as the day streak increases
- creating a horsey using a pool noodle and some fabric with my kid for his school project
- exploring brunch at a new restaurant with my family and enjoying the experience
- the beautiful evening sky
- going on a drive in the night
- hitting more than 10k steps on most days last week

15 week reading spree sounds amazing. Way to go Vinitha. I saw the title of your post and I dropped by rightaway. We should all do happiness posts regularly. It makes us aware of the good things in our life.

oh this sounds like absolute bliss. My life has been so packed and busy that your last reminds me it has been a while since I enjoyed walk or a ‘peaceful’ cup of chai.
I would love to see that horsey. I love how you do so many interesting activities with your son. I was diligently learning from Duolingo until I fell of the wagon last year. Time to start it again.
Take care Vinitha

It is a wonderful list, Vinitha. So this time you are reading Harry Potter to Akku, I believe. It must be fun to go through the books again. I am interested in knowing what does he have to say about Harry’s adventures. No matter how much bad press does Facebook gets, there are somedays when it lights us up with popping up our old memories and photos. Those are the days I feel grateful for it.
May you have many more reasons to keep smiling. Have a wonderful week ahead.
