Things that made me smile

Memories are safe in our hearts and on our phones. As I scrolled through my phone’s gallery, I was gifted with wonderful moments from the past. Sharing a few photos from last week that made me smile. 😊

It drizzled on and off. I clicked this photo while waiting in the car to pick up my son from his school. Rain kissed window panes are my favorite.

The evening sky is gorgeous showing off the golden streaks bleeding all over in no particular order, yet looking incredibly stunning. Marvelous, isn’t it?

Before the rain. What stories do the sky hide? Do we ever get to learn?

Reflections. One of my favorite word. I think the rain drenched road reflecting lights is a feeling, a lovely feeling.

I don’t want to time travel, but I would love a tour inside the clouds. Do you think the clouds are stuffed with dreams? No?

I had ice cream last week — a scoop of pistachio and cookie batter flavor. It was a delicious treat, especially as I had ice cream after a long gap.

Doesn’t that look like a fountain rainbow? I love going for a drive and spotting these rare beauties on the way.

A beautiful evening looks like this.

Another photo of the same sky and road. I never tire of these beautiful views. Sometimes, I feel like I’m always talking about the same things — the sky, the drive, the road, the rain, the thoughts, the journals.
Many times, I hesitate to share because I feel stuck on the same old subjects.
But the truth is, I love these regular, mundane, seemingly insignificant things. They are part of my world. They bring me a world of happiness.
What about you? What makes you happy?

These sky photographs are something else, Vinitha. Love the various shades of pink and blue!
Pistachio icecream is one of my favourites. I gorged on fresh strawberry icecream in Mumbai earlier this month!

Beautiful photos and even more lovely memories, Vinitha! I really like how you captured these photos on the go! I too love doing that and my phone gallery often becomes a treasure house of such beautiful moments caught in transit, while the weeks rolls into months. Talking of repetitions, I do think whatever we are and whatever we cherish, comes through in our writing. That becomes the style, right? So, be yourself and never worry if you are repeating yourself…it is all those things that make your writing unique yours. 🙂

I am in awe of all the sky photos. There is so much drama going on up there within different shades. I loved the photo of the rainbow fountain too having never witnessed a phenomenon like this. It looks like it drizzled and it rained at your place this week.
We all are similar when it comes to talking and writing about the same stuff when it is the essence of the matter we are made up of. I would say you are doing well with your repetitions as you have a wide range of contexts to talk and write about – the sky, the drive, the road, the rain, the thoughts, the journals. As for me, I feel I just have one context to write and talk about these days which is exercising. Last week, I wrote about it and this week too. Next week I will consciously try to think of something else to write about.
