Although I don’t consider myself a perfectionist, I do possess perfectionist traits, like procrastinating with no end in sight. It’s a dangerous trait because, being a half-perfectionist, I don’t do my tasks perfectly. Instead, I have perfected the dark side of perfectionism.
I tend to wait for everything to align properly before getting on with my work. That’s a forever wait in itself. Of course, there were times when I could overcome my dark side and do my job well.
My recent hacking incident gave me a new perspective. Life is imperfect, as imperfect as anything can be. External agents don’t care about any single living entity. So, stop waiting and procrastinating. There is no time, especially no time to be a perfectionist. Our chaotic world is stimulated by and thrives on chaos and vulnerability. That’s not a bad thing. At the end of the day, finding peace and calm inside me will help me sleep well as we navigate the throes of chaos and vulnerability.
It’s a story that is hard to decipher. Yet, we are living in this imperfect world more or less fine, creating our stories.
The stress inside my head can cause worse effects than the stress from the outside world.
The problems seem humongous, yet the simple solutions keep us going. When in doubt, take a deep breath and go back to the basics. Everything is okay as long as I can believe that.
So I believe everything is okay.

What a great way to view this harrowing experience, Vini. Focusing on the basics is the best thing to do, but not all of us do that. Hugs to you!
