If I didn’t need sleep,
I would happily gaze at the stars,
night after night.
If I didn’t need sleep,
I would count the stars flitting in and out,
between veils of clouds.
If I didn’t need sleep,
would I grow bored of gazing
at the sparkling stars, night after night?
But I need my sleep—
to dream of counting stars,
hopping from cloud to cloud,
hugging the stars,
because only in dreams, I can.
Daily writing prompt
If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?
Oh my god I’d read, a lot. And watch all the films in my watch list. That said, I do love my sleep – specially now that it’s getting a little colder. It’s the best feeling to snuggle into the quilt and drift off.
