International Blog Delurking Week 2025

Hello there!

I hope you’re having a wonderful start to the new year. This week, from the 6th to the 12th of January 2025, we celebrate International Blog Delurking Week.

I’ve been blogging for the past 10 years, and through blogging, I’ve made many wonderful connections.

However, a significant number of bloggers have left the space, which is exactly why I deeply value the connections I continue to make here. Your presence on my blog—whether it’s a short hello, a long comment, or even just a like—is greatly appreciated.

When I decided to blog actively in 2014, my blog was already five years old. Till then whatever I was writing—a poem here, a musing there—was for my eyes only. I started reading and commenting on other blogs and participating in blogging challenges with a lot of apprehension. I am not good at this, and I don’t know anything about blogging—that was my mindset.

But with encouragement from fellow bloggers and readers, I gained confidence—and here I am, still blogging.

The blogging space has changed significantly over the years. It’s no longer as bustling with activity as it once was. Still, I have no plans to stop blogging anytime soon.

I blog for my sanity. If my thoughts resonate with you, that makes me happy. And if you share your thoughts in the comments, it makes me even happier.

If you’re someone who reads my blog posts but has never commented, consider this my invitation to say hi below. I’d love to hear from you!

Thank you for reading this post. Have a wonderful day!

  2. Looks like we’re the ‘bloggers for life’ types, no? Blogs come and go and all the new kind of blogging can’t seem to replace the type we’re familiar with. I think there’s a lot to be said of having a space that’s completely our own!

So glad you continue to be here, showing up (see what I did there?) consistently, Vini. Glad that you’re in my life. Hugs.
