A kaleidoscope of memories
trapped in the mind,
playing yesterday’s notes
at odd times.
A broken kaleidoscope—
fragments of beautiful moments,
shattered pieces of bittersweet.
They cut deep as they unfold,
yet hold a beauty
I will cherish
for as long as I live.

Cut deep yet hold beauty! So well said.

Painful memories and experiences can teach valuable lessons. There truly is a sense of beauty in our scars, and memories of how we managed to overcome the challenges we faced along the way.
