My mind is on vacation mode—
refusing to jot down sensible thoughts.
Not even senseless ones rest
on my mind’s window at this time.
I write down daily gratitude
at the end of the day,
and that’s all the writing I do these days.
I’m not in a hurry to write either.
When the mind isn’t ready,
is there a point in forcing words
just for the sake of writing?
So here I am,
giving myself permission
to slow down,
to linger in the stillness,
to not be in a rush—
to simply be,
here,
in this moment.

Well said Vinitha. We all need to give ourselves that permission sometimes. Hope you had a good vacation.
