In the midst of
never-ending what-ifs
and might-bes,
the journey is never easy—
weighed down by
worries umpteen.
Shadows linger—
tireless to-dos,
daunting expectations.
All day, every day,
swallowed by something,
by everything.
Yet a glimmer of gratitude,
a saving grace,
arrives at day’s end,
tackling the whatnots,
a breath of fresh air,
a flicker of hope—
reminding me gently
that even when worries worry,
gratitude steadies the heart.

When worries worry…
I found the title of this poem interesting. One – ‘Worries worry’ is poetic in itself. Two – It led my mind to WWW which is funny to me I am not sure why. It just tickled my brain 😀
I am taking the line – Even when worries worry, gratitude steadies the heart.
