Listening Beyond Fear

Often, I hear
the gentle whisper
of my inner voice.

It guides me—
when I am in doubt,
when I feel scared,
when my mind feels cluttered.

But the voice of doubt speaks louder.
It is never gentle—
but firm, stern,
unyielding.

It rises every time,
grabbing my attention
without fail.

So I must be selective
in my listening.

Who should I trust today?
The voice of doubt,
or the guidance of my inner voice?

I know the one I long to hear—
every day, every moment.

But in the end,
the choice is mine,
and mine alone.
