Tale by Tears

Have you ever listened to the stories told by the tears? Thousands of such stories are whooshing past by me when I listen to the breath of a tear.

But, what often breaks my heart is not the stories told by these tears that roll down a face. It’s the ones that are swallowed even before they could breathe. The tears that are hidden even before they could take their form. The tears that are stopped as they start to drown the eyes.

The air around me sometimes feels heavy and burdened by those untold stories whispered by these unseen tears. Their stories rip my heart, always.

  1. Yes, these are the stories that will always break my heart. It reminded me of the latest devastation caused by earthquake. How some can’t even cry because they have to take care of others.
    Powerful piece there Vinitha.

  2. Beautifully written, Vinitha!
Like you, I too wonder what those tears would have to say if they were allowed to come out and flow…maybe we should let them flow freely…sometimes, those stories hold the keys to many a jigsaw that forms in the mind.
