Embrace the Everchanging #FictionMonday

nothing is permanent,
from the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars
everything is changing
every minute, every second.

change is the only constant.

is it scary?
that everything is changing?

it won’t be when you realize that you too are changing!
along with the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars,
you too are changing to accommodate the constant changes happening around you,
or maybe, the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars are changing to accommodate the everchanging you.

break your fears,
break out of the pull that is holding you back and explore the world today,
because nothing will remain the same forever,
live your life today just how you like it,
because today is the right day,
to dream,
to explore,
to live.

  1. Loved your motivational poem, Vinitha. Just this morning I was urging myself to live my life the way I want to, without wondering what others may feel about it. Inspiring ourselves is an everyday process, right? Your poem is a great reminder to accept the changes in the world around you and the changes in you and live your life to its fullest.

  2. This was a wonderful motivational poem, Vinitha. You took the concept of change to the celestial bodies and this is admirable because it is not usual that we can take our mind to the planets and stars to think in terms of the ever-changing. Yet they are changing, dying, and new ones getting formed as well (I am assuming the new ones). I find this a great leap of imagination.

  3. Loved your beautiful poem, Vinitha! Sometimes we fail to realise how from one day to another we continue to change and then, suddenly, one day, much later, it actually hits us, when we look back to see how far we’ve come. Equally, some days, we need reminders to nudge us to do something. That call for action in the concluding lines says it all.

  4. What a wonderful piece of inspiring writing this, dear Vinitha. Yes, we are always in a constant flow of change. It’s upto us to embrace change with a smile or protest about it and be miserable.

Even the trees shed regularly, as do butterflies metamorphose from a pupae. This process may not always be seamless, but letting go and flowing is what makes it all worthwhile.

    Love.
