Promises #haiku
empty words all 'round
many waves of promises
dancing shadows laugh

  1. Your haiku speaks volumes about how one feels when people don’t keep their promises. I also interpreted the last line as the humiliation one would go through when they fail to see the signs of betrayal. Similar to the feeling of – How naive or stupid was I that I believed everything.

  2. I am slowly learning to appreciate poetry now. Earlier, I found it rather intimidating, but ever since I tried writing it myself, I have started admiring how poets use such few words to express so many feelings.
Your haiku here is so beautiful, Vinitha. Loved it. It will take me a long time to be able to write one myself, but I would like to attempt it someday. 🙂
    Thank you for the inspiration!

    1. Poetry is a beautiful form of expression, isn’t it? It stays elusive until one fine day you start loving this form of expressing your thoughts. Then you can’t stay away from poetry because poetry follows you in every thought. 🙂
I love your attitude, Shilpa. Can’t wait to read more poems from you! 🙂
