Alone #FictionMonday #ProsePoem

She was alone,
in her thoughts,
in her life,
in her house.

Everyone pitied her for they thought being alone was worse. But they didn’t know she was only alone, never lonely.

In fact, she knew how enriching her life was. She felt sorry for everyone who believed they had it all, but lived a lonely life.

Never alone, but always lonely, isn’t that a scary place to be?

  1. I could relate to this. I actually find so much peace in being alone and doing my own thing. I have also felt alone in a crowd and it is not a great feeling at all.

  2. To be alone but not lonely – that’s the best. The other way round, makes for a very sad person.
I love your prompts Vinitha, this was such a good one as was ‘Thoughts’. The week goes by in a flash and before I know it time’s up! I really need to make time to write.
