This April morning feels strangely cold. I am sitting on my couch, thinking about coffee. I need my coffee, but I don’t want to leave the warmth of my couch to get myself a cup.

How wonderful it would be if it prepared itself and gently glided toward me, fitting between my palms, ready to be savored. I wish!
I wish my wishes were strong enough to command such action. What a beautiful dream, isn’t it?
Cold days are meant for dreaming, no matter how impossible those dreams may seem.
The drizzle outside persists, oblivious to my dreams and dilemmas. Without my hot cup of beverage to keep me warm, the cold seems to intensify. Today’s weather reminds me of England and the chilling cold that left a mark on my mind whenever I think of that country. We must have spent triple the time under the umbrella seeking refuge from the rain than basking in the shining sun while we were there.
It looks like the sun wants to come out and say hello to us now. Its rays gently sneak through despite the clouds preparing to cover it up. I don’t know how long the sun will get to stay out in the open. Dark clouds seem to dominate today.
Before I succumb to the wishes of the cold weather and seek the company of my cozy blanket, let me get up and fetch myself a cup of hot coffee.
I might end up drinking more than one cup if the showers continue.
How is the weather in your corner of the world?

Hello, from another coffee lover! Just savored my cuppa despite the sweltering heat, yet craving for some more after reading this beautiful post. This is one beverage that is more therapeutic than many other things!

Your post makes me long for winter. It’s blisteringly hot here despite Pune being known for temperate weather. It’s terrible stepping out in the afternoon sun and I almost don’t want to go home for lunch even though it’s a five-minute drive. I hope that hot cup of coffee brought you some solace.
Your wish reminded me of Molly Weasley’s kitchen :-).

the cold weather makes me reach out for both coffee and tea… sometimes one following the other. And then I spend the night struggling to sleep. I have heard about the damp weather of England, but didn’t realise how bad it gets.
I wish I could automat3 all the housework. Specially folding laundry. 😅
