If you look at it calmly,
you will see—
life is full of
lessons in disguise.
Most of them
are on repeat,
as if
they refuse
to leave our side.
But when you reflect
in the stillness,
something stirs
inside.
You’ll no longer see
the hardships of the lesson
alone;
the silver lining begins to shine, too.
And when you spot that glimmer,
everything falls into place—
the lesson,
the impact,
the experience—
all of it starts making sense.
You’ll notice
a shift in
how you describe the journey;
you’ll realize
how important
that moment truly was.
You will learn
that some lessons
are meant for you—
for you to understand your worth,
for you to stand up for yourself.
The torturous experience was essential
to highlight the truth so vital;
and you learn to treat yourself
kindly,
wholly,
and above all, respectfully.

Wisest of words, Vinitha.

for you to stand up for yourself.”
Have been there. Couldn’t agree more.

Lessons keep repeating until we learn our lessons. Unless we break the pattern, it will continue to repeat. And, yes, sometimes they repeat in disguise. Such a profound poem. Every word in this poem is true.

I love these lines. So often we just keep grumbling about how tough life is that we forget the lessons we are meant to learn. I love how you express your thoughts so beautifully and easily through poetry. May 2026 be a lovely year for you.

How very true! All the lessons that come disguised bring us something totally priceless…Loved reading the poem, VInitha and enjoyed the wisdom you shared for all of us! We are all in it, sometime or the other. I don’t think any of us would ever evolve or grow without these tought times.

Sorry for the typo…meant ‘tough times’ and not tought times.

How very true, Vinitha! Just my thoughts whenever I reflect on the tough times and realise it was all for my good. The silver lining always proves that the tough times taught me some precious lessons. 🙂

Such a perfect thought to begin my day – to carefully wait for the silver lining to make itself visible.
