Sometimes, all you can do is wait. But for how long? The wait can stretch on forever. The “right time” hardly ever stops by to knock on your door, letting you know the wait is over and it’s time to get on with your life.
The saddest part is when waiting becomes your life without you even realizing it. That is when it becomes difficult to break away. You won’t even hear the faintest sound of opportunity knocking when you are too deeply immersed in that waiting mode.
Sometimes it feels foolish to keep trying—to keep showing up—while you are supposed to be waiting. But isn’t it better to try and fail than to wait forever with no idea what’s going on?
Isn’t it better to keep showing up, even if the only sound you hear is that of disapproval? At least you didn’t wait for fate to intervene. At least you did what you could. At least you will have the peace of mind that comes with being a doer.
Isn’t that better?
