There is a moment
before the rush of the day
catches on—
an in-between space
in time,
to slow down,
to pause,
to relish
amidst the fleeting moments
of impermanence,
of transience.
Worries dispelled,
anxieties dissolved,
fears hushed.
A breath of clarity descends.
That’s the moment I wait for.
That’s the moment I rely on
day after day—
before the day slowly swallows me whole.
A moment where dreams are created.
A moment where dreams are promised
a life of their own.
One I breathe into—
a worthwhile moment between breaths.

“to pause, to relish… amidst the fleeting moments of impermanence” sounds like you have mastered the practice. Unless we are very mindful we cannot experience that “worthwhile moment.” Love the poem Vinitha.

Very nice. Some days, I can’t even savor a cup of coffee.

Beautiful thoughts, Vinitha!
And I think breathing is a very important key, that
open our inner force.
