I am in love with this corner of our backyard. It makes my heart rejoice when I see the green leaves fluttering in the breeze, playing with the sunlight.
Especially the tallest among them, the hibiscus. That’s the second hibiscus plant we bought last summer. It bloomed with gorgeous red flowers during the season, but as the temperature dipped, the flowers stopped appearing altogether.

I am still waiting for it to sprout a few buds. Nevertheless, when I see it growing taller—after giving me another scare during the winter by drooping and threatening to wither away completely—I feel relieved and pleased to see it flourishing.
There are new leaves on all the plants. Our jasmine is growing well, too. Some leaves look like they’ve been nibbled on by insects, but despite all that, it’s thriving. There have already been a few jasmine flowers, and I see new buds on it again.

Looking at this spot makes me happy.
I can’t help but smile when the little joys of life dazzle me time and again.

Such a pretty collection of plants, Vini. Hibiscus is fast becoming my favourite blooming away in the midst of the high temperatures!

The plants are such a good source of happiness for us. I believe if nothing else is going on good in our lives, even then if we have thriving plants sprouting tiny new leaves and blooming flowers, we still can have reason to be happy. The yellow roses look beautiful.
