  1. I read somewhere that grief is the other side of love and we can only grieve if we have loved. Accepting sorrow is part of the healing process, the tears are necessary to cleanse and renew.

  2. Grief is so frightening for us that we try everything to avoid it. And yet sometimes that struggle itself can be exhausting. You write beautifully Vinitha. Acceptance, sometimes, is the best way to deal with grief.

  3. “Let’s be sad… Let’s accept sadness…” is something I too have felt when I know that the cause of sadness is inevitable. I really felt brave when I read the lines “Let’s not feel threatened…”

And the lines “…tears leave behind a fresh palette…” is the most profound part of the poem, Vinitha.

  4. This is so beautiful, Vinitha!

We never consider grief a necessary part of our life. We seldom give it any importance, but always judge it as the worst emotion ever. The last lines are so meaningful!
