We have no Hindu temples near us where I live in the United States. But in my religion, we light candles every Friday just before sundown to mark the coming of our Sabbath (day of rest). And, we have a holiday every December commemorating a miracle involving oil candles. Thank you for sharing your candle picture.

I love all these photos I’m seeing of beautiful candles as people celebrate Diwali. There is a Hindu Temple on the way into the city and the hubs said that today there were cars lined up all the way down the highway. Guess they’re all celebrating Diwali, too!
