Today is Day 4 of the 7 Days to Rediscovering Your Blogging Groove at the Write Tribe. And today we are writing a link post.
I am sharing few of my favorite link ups in the blogging world. It is a great way to read some awesome blogs and connect with fellow bloggers.
Five Sentence Fiction – FSF is the first link up I participated. I owe it to Five Sentence Fiction in helping me rekindling with my writing abilities. It is hosted by Lillie Mcferrin and as she describes it, Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Every Thursday she will post a one-word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five-sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.
Friday Fictioneers – Hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields, at her blog Addicted to Purple, Friday Fictioneers uses photo prompt, which she displays every Wednesday to write a story in 100 words or less. I never thought I could write based on a photo, but trust me it is a lot of fun.
From 15 to 50 – From 15 to 50 is hosted by Shailaja V at her blog The Moving Quill. Each month, she will put up 3 prompts: a word + a phrase + a photograph. You can choose to use any/all of the prompts in your post or just use them for reference and write a flash fiction piece between 15 to 50 words.
Wordless Wednesday – Hosted by Ruchira Khanna at her blog Abracabadra, Wordless Wednesday is for linking up the photographs of your choice. There are no rules.
10/10 Tuesday – 10/10 Tuesday is hosted by Cynthia and Deepika at Cynthia’s blog Whispers in the wind. Each Tuesday they will post a prompt and all you have to do is write 10 sentences with 10 words in each sentence including the prompt in at least one of the 10 sentences.
Microblog Mondays – Microblog Mondays is hosted by Melissa at her blog Stirrup Queens. As you might have guessed, it is about micro blogging on Monday, as in creating a post that is between 1 word to 8 sentences long. There will be a prompt but you don’t have to write based on it.
Three Word Wednesday – Each week on Wednesday, you will be given 3 words. Your task is to write something with all the three words. That’s all.
Light And Shade Challenge – Challenge opens every Wednesday. There is a picture, a quotation and a 500-word limit. The Challenge is to take whatever is sparked by the picture and/or the quotation, however tenuous or remote the connection, and see how much fun you can have in 500 words.
Poetry Jam – Every Tuesday there will be a word prompt given and write your poem based on it.
These are some awesome challenges. I am yet to take part in the last 3 challenges mentioned. Have a look at them.
Do you participate in challenges? Which is your favorite one? Let me know.

These are great prompts to help you challenge and write better. Have written for a few of the links you have shared! 🙂

They helped me in pushing the writer’s block away. I was a very very inconsistent writer! The challenges gave me a new direction. Now I’m able to write without prompts too. Thanks a lot for stopping by, Shilpa! 🙂
