“Look Mel, that minivan is still there. Why is it parked in the same spot always? I guess someone abandoned it. What do you think?”
“I think so too, Claire. You wanna go take a closer look?” said Mel walking towards the minivan.
“Its almost time for school. We won’t snoop around here for long, okay Mel?”
“Hey, What are you girls up to now?” called out Claire’s big brother Adam.
“Never mind” replied the girls running towards their school ditching their curiosity unaware of the disappointment in the red eyes looking at them through the window of the van.

Vinitha, Welcome to Friday Fictioneers! Good scary story. Good thing they didn't get any closer to the minivan. Well written. : ) — Susan

First rule of safety is to always avoid trucks that have red eyes peeping from it.
Nice take on the prompt and welcome to Friday Fictioneers.

An abandoned vehicle always spells trouble, especially if there are red eyes peering from within. Spooky!
