Void Thoughts

Day before yesterday night while I was almost falling asleep, inspiration striked. Musings started working. Before sleep took over my eyes and mind, I wrote 3 stories, in my mind. One was for the “Muse of the Month” hosted by Women’s Web. I didn’t even know what the muse was for this month but I formed the beginning of a story. I was so confident that I could build a story from that beginning, whatever be the muse

. Then came a story, no poem for five sentence fiction for the prompt glimmer. And then one more poem.

I was really impressed with all those. So much in so little time. That too when I was almost asleep.

Then came the morning and out were the musings. I couldn’t even remember what those musings were! More importantly where are they now! It was all blank.

No story line for the ‘Muse of the Month’. I am still searching for that poem, the glimpse of that poem. Gone are the musings, like a teasing dream! I should have gotten up and wrote it down right then! If I had then I wouldn’t have left with the empty palatte and empty paper now.

I managed to come up with a poem for the five sentence fiction. And that was all..
