“Dannyyy, why did you push your friend down the stairs? Look how hurt he is?” Rita was annoyed at how the playdate has turned from fun to fight.
“You told me to stand up for me when kids are not nice to me. Alex was making fun of my new haircut. I was only standing up for me, mommy!” paused Danny.
He looked at his mom and continued with a little hesitation, “I won’t get into trouble for this, right mommy? The other day when daddy pushed you down the stairs he didn’t get into trouble. So it’s okay, right?”

Ohhhh…This one hits hard. Parents don’t realize the loud messages their silences and cover ups give!

Oh that is sad. Children are so innocent. They just believe what they see is how things are. Good one. Very thoughtful. Loved it, Vinitha 🙂

At times people don’t realize kids are watching. The presence of kids are often taken lightly when it comes to family fights. A thoughtful write up.

That’s some thought provoking lines! Children see us and learn from us. We, as parents, have a great role to play. Simple and crisp.
